Thank you for your interest the Golden Gate Par Chasers (GGPC) Golf Club a Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) club. Our home course is Lake Chabot Golf Course in Oakland, CA. The GGPC was founded in the 1971 by a group of Black San Francisco Bay Area golfers. The late Murry Jacobs was the club's 1st Pro. Our club's name was derived from the golf course location at the Golden Gate Fields Race Track's 9-hole golf course. The club eventually moved to the 9-hole golf course at Lake Chabot where it gained recognition as the first Black recognized NCGA club. The GGPC Golf Club is an interesting combination of personalities, professions and golf skills. The goal of our club is to provide a friendly but competitive environment to members at all playing levels. Which is to say that every golfer, regardless how long you may have played the game, is welcome in our club. To achieve our goal we annually hold at least 10 tournaments at a variety of courses within the San Francisco Bay area and Reno, NV. Additionally, we schedule non-tournament rounds at the Lake Chabot golf course following our monthly meeting.
